George Tuttle, Sr

George was a 1942 Lakeland High School graduate who served in the Army in the western Pacific during WWII as a B-25 bomber radio operator. After the war, he opened Ace Radio & TV on South Florida Avenue and, in the 50’s and 60’s, was a part-time engineer for WONN. He eventually sold the TV business to work for (and eventually retire from) the railroad.

The Hickory, NC native passed away July 22, 2010 from heart failure at the age of 85.
