WWLL - A History

WWLL-FM 105.7 Sebring – Highlands County’s 19,000 watt Lite 105.7 WWLL is one of five stations in Sebring owned by the Cohan Radio Group which acquired it from Jacor in 1998. Its call sign was previously WYMR. WWLL’s original format was classic rock Wheels 105.7 before it flipped to lite adult contemporary in 2002.

Today (2018), WWLL is headquartered in a suite of offices on the second floor of the Fairmount Cinema Square on U.S. 27 North. The tower/transmitter site is off Williams Road southwest of Sebring.

Other names in WWLL history include John Boy & Billy (syndicated mornings-2001), Gary Ballinger (mornings-2002), Michael Taylor (mornings 2003-2005), Timothy Saenz (news) Les Howard (operations/afternoons-2006), Barry Foster (news-2007), Dave Onsted (mornings), John Tesh (syndicated nights), Steve Wild, and Rooter Rush.
