WTBV - A History

WTBV-FM 101.5 St. Petersburg - On Sept. 6, 2023, after being 93-3 WFLZ’s chief Top 40/CHR competitor for 12 years, Hot 101.5 WPOI began stunting with a loop of “Just Fine” by Mary J. Blige , prepping for a format change the following day at noon. At the promised time, the station flipped to adult R&B as 101.5 The Vibe with Mark Morrison’s “Return of the Mack” as the first song played. Concurrent with the change, Cox Media debuted the station’s new WTVB call letters which took effect the following Monday, September 11th.

One hundred kilowatt WTBV operates from offices and studios in the Cox FM cluster (WWRM, WHPT, WDUV, WSUN, and WXGL) at 11300 Fourth Street North in St. Petersburg. Its tower is located in Hillsborough County off Rhodine Road in Riverview.
