Sharon Taylor
When she began her radio career, Sharon Taylor was already in the entertainment business – as a singer right out of high school. Then she heard they were looking for a “girl to do news” at WUSF-FM, the college station at the University of South Florida in Tampa, where she graduated magna cum laude with a degree in Mass Communications.
Since then, she has worked in both television and radio as a talk-show co-host, traffic reporter, TV assignment editor (WTVT), and news anchor working with talk-host Bob Lassiter (WSUN). As a video producer, she has interviewed numerous actors and members of the film and television community in Hollywood and New York.
In 1998 Sharon joined "AM Tampa Bay," the 970 WFLA morning show with Jack Harris and Tedd Webb. She left in 2009 when Clear Channel failed to renew her contract. In addition to her radio work, she was also lead vocalist with Sharon and The Boys, a six-member band that played for party events around Tampa Bay.
