Joe Donelan

Joe came to Hall Communications’ Lakeland/Winter Haven powerhouse 97 Country WPCV in 1987. After a two-year stay doing nights, he joined another Hall-owned country outlet –Hot New Country 97.7 WCTY in Norwich/New London, Connecticut – and spent 2 ½  years there in mid-days.

Beginning his radio career in 1974 at WMLN in Milton, Massachusetts, Joe worked for four years at the station before moving to Eden, North Carolina, where he was Music Director at WLOE/WEAF in 1978 and 1979. From there, it was to afternoon drive for his next job – and again as music director - at WHEE in Martinsville, Virginia.

Prior to moving to Lakeland and WPCV, Joe stopped along the way to do nights at KSAL in Salina, Kansas, afternoons in Tallahassee at country WTNT-FM while also serving as a news anchor and talk show host on WTNT-AM, and mid-days at WPAP in Panama City. After leaving Hall’s Connecticut station in 2001, he was hired as Program Director at KIX 105.5 FM WKXH in St. Johnsbury, Vermont where he pulled morning drive and did a noon time request and trivia show.

Today (2007) Joe can be heard on WWOJ 99.1 in Sebring where he has been the afternoon drive host since 2003.
