Stan "The Man" Priest

Born and raised in St. Louis, Stan was a singer and guitarist playing before live audiences at the age of 12. These onstage performances eventually evolved into ‘mixing’ work in clubs by the time he was 17.

Club owners featured “The Man” in radio ads, which was what caught the attention in 1990 of WFLZ’s program director, Marc Chase, who recruited him for The Power Pig‘s ‘Toast and Jam’ morning mix show and midday ‘Lunch Jam’. Chase also created a Friday night mix show especially for him in 1992.

Stan was named WFLZ’s music director and awarded Music Director of the Year in 1998, and had added a Friday afternoon ‘Weekend Rollout Show’ before leaving Tampa Bay for mainstream Top 40 WSTO in Evanston, IN in 2004.
