Jack Ellery

Jack’s radio career began in 1951 in Lewiston, Maine. Since then, there’s been a long list of outstanding stations he has worked for, including WIP, WCAU, and WWDB in Philadelphia and WNBC, WNEW, and WOR in New York. He’s also done network radio (NBC’s “Monitor”) and worked a couple years for the People’s Radio Network and the Sun Radio Network.

From around 1986 to 1989, he was the mid-morning talker for WFLA before moving back north. After deciding he didn’t want to work for someone else, he directed his energies toward a career in real estate, but that was relatively short-lived. He eventually returned to radio work for Central New Jersey’s WCTC-AM in New Brunswick.

Jack passed away Dec. 8, 2020 from complications of Covid-19 and Alzheimer's disease. He was 86.
