Carl Strandell
Carl was program director and deejay at WYND AM-1280 in Sarasota in the mid 1970’s. Before that, he had worked for WQAM Miami (1961), WAPE Jacksonville (1965), WIRK West Palm Beach (1967), KIMN Denver (1968), WKLO Louisville (primarily nights 1968-1971), and WBBF Rochester, NY (mid-days 1971).
After leaving Sarasota, Carl moved to WGUY Bangor, ME (1979), and then to Jackson, MS where he worked at WQMV (1982) and WSTZ-FM (GM-1986). He also owned a media brokerage company, CVS Associates in Jackson.
Today (2007) Carl is with the Holt Media Group, a radio and television brokerage firm in Bethlehem, PA.
