David Sharp

David is a Tampa native and graduate of Chamberlain High School, but his radio career actually began in 1979 at a college station in Boone, North Carolina. Returning to Tampa in 1985, he landed his first commercial station job at WPLA working the 6 to midnight shift. Before long, he was on days and occasionally filled in on the popular "This‘n That" show with Ercelle Smith when regular co-host Al Berry was away from the station.

In 1988, he left WPLA, but continued to work at stations around Tampa Bay, including WWRM 94.9 FM, and 102.5 WHPT The Point. He also tried his hand at news and won two Associated Press awards for his efforts during a stint at WHNZ.

David’s last station in Tampa was The Joy-FM. Since 2000 he has been doing radio and TV in Australia.
