Jeff Laurence
Jeff is a veteran of Tampa Bay’s radio wars and has worked at stations in Buffalo, Toronto, Dayton, and Orlando. He started his long career at the legendary WOLF in Syracuse and later moved to WHEN as PD and production director. Eventually he made the move to Florida and was hired as PD and morning man at WLCY in 1975 and then assistant program director at WDAE in 1977. He also formed Jeff Laurence Productions, one of the finest production houses in the country.
Other Tampa Bay stations to his credit include WSUN (twice), Magic 96 WMGG in 1986, mid-days and as creative director for oldies Z93 WFLZ , afternoons at Entercom’s U92 WYUU, creative director at the Cox cluster (WSUN, WWRM and WCOF), and a brief shift in Miami at WQAM. He married former WQYK copywriter Carol Latham in 1992 and then moved to the Smoky Mountains of North Carolina.
