Justin Pawloski

Justin (a.k.a. The Commish) enjoyed four successful years at Tampa Catholic High School playing football, a talent that led him to a scholarship to the University of Connecticut.  After a couple of years, he returned to Tampa and went on to receive a BA in Communications from the University of South Florida.

His radio career began in 2002 as an intern on Clear Channel’s “MJ Morning Show” on WFLA. From there, he joined The Sports Animal WDAE and moved up the ranks from part-time promotions and board-op to executive producer of “The Ron Diaz and Ian Beckles Show,” his own weekly show, and main fill-in for afternoon host Steve Duemig.

Justin joined the USF Bulls broadcast crew for football pregame and postgame shows in 2008 and, three years later, became part of the Bucs broadcast team. When he and Clear Channel parted in early 2012, he joined Tampa Bay’s CBS cluster in the noon to 3 slot on WQYK-AM and then moved to CBS’ new all-sports FM, Sports Radio 98.7 The Fan WHFS to co-host middays with Tampa Bay Times columnist Gary Shelton. That gig ended in December 2014 when the station dropped its sports format.
