Carl Metcalf
Carl was a reporter in his hometown of Detroit before joining Moody Broadcasting in 1967 to work with Illinois affiliates WDLM in East Moline and WMBI in Chicago. In 1992, he moved to Largo to host “Tampa Bay Today,” the morning show on Moody Bible Institute’s religious FM WKES.
On November 5th 2001, the 56-year old announcer was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver as he bicycled to work.
