Rich Pauley
A native of Chicago, Rich made his radio debut in Florida at the age of 18. He attended the University of Florida, and served as a U. S. Marine combat correspondent during the Korean War.
His radio career included work in Tampa Bay in the 1950’s and 60’s at WTSP (middays), WFLA (mornings), and WINQ (mornings). He continued his on-air work in Los Angeles at KNX, replacing Bob Crane, who had left to star in the CBS-TV sitcom “Hogan’s Heroes.”
Rich moved to WBT in Charlotte in the late 60’s. It was while working there that he passed away from cancer.
