Dick Florence

Dick began his career in 1958 as a staff announcer at WCRF in Cleveland, owned by Moody Radio. A year later, he was promoted to announcer and control room operator and then, eight years after that, WCRF’s station manager. From Cleveland, he moved to Boynton Beach to become the first station manager of WRMB.

A former president of the Southeastern NRB, Florence left Moody Radio in 1988 to serve as the VP of Broadcasting for Crista Ministries in Seattle. In 1990, he returned to Florida as WKES’ station manager and Senior Director. During his years there, his work and leadership established WKES as a four-station group now known as Moody Radio Florida.

Dick retired in 2001 and today (2011) lives in North Carolina.
