Dave (Mike Lee) is from Gary, Indiana and played minor league and semi-pro baseball in the Midwest before launching a radio career in 1972. He’s worked at WOKY in Milwaukee, WIVY in Jacksonville, and in Tampa Bay where he’s pulled afternoons at Q105 and 98 Rock, middays on 93-3 FLZ, and afternoons for U92.
He’s a former graduate of Chicago’s Elkins Institute and a two-time winner of Billboard magazine’s Deejay of the Year award, plus he’s picked up other regional and local honors over the years. You may also remember him as one of the original hosts on The Home Shopping Network, where he still pitches products occasionally. This veteran of over 30 infomercials has voiced “The Genocide Factor” for PBS and narrated “The Directors, ” a cable series produced in part by the American Film Institute, featuring profiles of great Hollywood film directors.
After 28 years of full time work, Dave retired in 2000 and formed his own voiceover company. Although he enjoys the time he spends at his vacation home in the mountains, he still calls the Tampa area his home.
