Jeff Rogo
With his college years at Cleveland’s John Carroll University behind him, Jeff packed up and moved to Tampa in the summer of 1972, hired to pull overnights on WFLA. “Rogo on the Radio” was not only a fixture there, but also on WDAE, WFLA-FM, WSUN, and Clearwater’s WAZE.
He’s sold radio time, and was instrumental in the efforts of the St. Pete Catholic Diocese to put FM 90.5 WBVM on the air in the mid 80’s. The former five-year alumni development director at Tampa’s Jesuit High School even taught a radio announcing course at the University of South Florida.
Today (2010), Jeff still lives in the bay area and is the executive director for government affairs for the GMS Group, a specialty company that manages not-for-profit trade associations.
