JoJo Walker
JoJo is from Memphis where he got hooked on radio while in high school after listening to hometown native, Mason Dixon, on WHBQ. After working his way through stations in smaller markets, he joined Mason in 1983 as a morning show sidekick at Q105 WRBQ.
In 1990, he moved “across town” to host the night show on oldies FM U92 WYUU, then re-joined Mason for stints at Mix 96 WMTX and Kiss FM 100.7 WAKS. Both eventually returned to the “Q” in 2003. His wealth of musical knowledge and comedic skills made him an instrumental part of the success of the “Mason and Bill (Connolly) Morning Show.”
In December 2008 JoJo was one of a number of Q105 people pink-slipped at the Tampa Bay CBS-owned station. However, he turned up in morning drive (with former Q staffer Mike Reeves) at NewsTalk 820 WWBA on January 4th 2010.
