Ed McMann

Ed was from Boston and started in the radio business in 1972 while in high school. In 1980, he moved to the Sunshine State and jocked for Miami’s Y100 WWHT, Clearwater’s 96 Kicks WCKX (mornings), and Tampa’s Q105 WRBQ. Previous to his move to Florida, he had been music director at KBLX in San Francisco, and worked in his hometown as music director and program director for Westinghouse Broadcasting’s WBZ-AM and FM respectively.

In 1982, he returned to Boston and joined Kiss 108 WXKS. He became the regular fill-in host for Casey Kasem on “American Top 40” and “American Top 20” in 1998, and a voice talent for Armstrong Interactive/Community Auditions. in 2007.

Today (2013), Ed is a nationally recognized voice talent for Clear Channel stations in numerous major markets around the country and manages all creative and business development projects for Receptive Audio.
