Mike Hennessy

Mike was a student Okaloosa-Walton Junior College at the time he landed his first radio gig at WFSH-AM in Niceville, Florida in 1975. After graduating from Florida State University in 1978, the Ft. In 1983, news director Don Richards hired him as a street reporter for WPLP. Five years later, he was among others who left when the station became Susquehanna’s WTKN. After a couple years doing television work, he returned to WFLA as overnight news anchor. With a Master's Degree in Mass Communications and Journalism earned in 2003 from the University of South Florida, he accepted the news director’s position at ZFKY/Rooster 101 and ZFZZ/Z-99 on Grand Cayman Island.

By 2008, Mike was back in Tampa Bay, a partner in Mike/Matt Productions in Lutz. In early 2014, he moved to Boise, Idaho where he contributes weather information to Examiner.com, a media company based in Colorado.
