Gordon Page

Dr. William Gordon Page was a longtime bay area board-certified anesthesiologist and entrepreneur. In addition to his work as a physician, he was president of Buccaneer Broadcasting, owner of Tampa and Pinellas Park’s WHBO from 1980 until its sale in 1985, and a co-owner of the La Cote Basque Winehouse restaurant in Gulfport.

The Prescott, WI native received his bachelor’s degree in 1935 from the University of Montana and studied at Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, graduating in 1939. After interning at Jersey City, NJ Medical Center and serving surgical residency at Good Samaritan Hospital in West Palm Beach, he took postgraduate courses in anesthesiology at Bowman-Gray School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, NC. In 1964, he joined the staff at St. Anthony Hospital in St. Petersburg where he was chairman of the anesthesia department from 1971 to 1978 and chief of anesthesiology from 1978 to 1983. 

Dr. Page moved to Naples in 1992 and passed away at Community Hospital there in 1995 at the age of 82.
