Ted moved to Tampa Bay in 1986 to join Classic Rock 97.9 WKRL and never left. He got into radio in Atlantic City in 1975 at the age of 14 and had his own morning show by the time he graduated from high school.
The 41-year old had been the mid-day voice on 98 Rock WXTB for many years and was also program director for sister station Thunder 103.5 WTBT-FM. In early January 2001, he decided to turn off his microphone for good and retire after 26 years in the radio business.
A few years later, Ted began doing voiceover work as ‘TedCan’ for radio and television commercials and took a job as the imaging director for CBS Radio Tampa, working mostly on 98.7 The Fan and 99.5 WQYK. Eventually he became the program director of Q105 WRBQ, a position he continues to hold today (2016).
