Brian James
Brian moved to Tampa Bay in 1989 from X-100 in San Francisco to take the production director’s position and a weekend air shift at the Power Pig 93.3 WFLZ. In 1993, he joined sister station AM-970 WFLA replacing afternoon drive talk show host Lionel. He left the area in 2000 and went on to become a legend in his own time – a man whose voice was heard just about everywhere, from major motion picture trailers and TV (VH1, The History Channel, the show “Extra” for starters) to industry leading radio stations from L.A. to London.
James passed away from an apparent heart attack at his home in Scottsdale, AZ March 6, 2009 at the age of 48.
